Porus AI Terms of Service

Effective 24 October 2026. Version 2026-10-24-v2.

1. Who provides the service

Porus AI operates Porus Studio, a service for submitting authorized spoken-media content for English-to-Hindi dubbing. Contact Porus AI at legal@porus.ai for service, privacy, rights, or grievance matters.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you represent an organization, you must be authorized to act for it. Provide accurate information, protect your login, and tell us promptly about unauthorized access. Age declaration is not a government identity check. This service does not offer accounts for children or a parental-consent workflow.

3. What the current service does

Studio accepts videos into a private upload queue. Processing, review, and completion communication are currently handled manually. Submission does not promise a delivery date, a particular voice, or a particular quality. Any paid engagement must specify its scope, pricing, delivery, cancellation, and refund terms before payment. The current website does not collect payments.

4. Your content and permissions

You keep the rights you already hold in your original content. You grant Porus AI a non-exclusive, limited permission to store, access, copy, transcribe, translate, adapt, synthesize, and deliver the content only as needed for your authorized job, support, and security. We do not acquire ownership of your identity or voice.

Before every upload you must confirm that you own or have the necessary licences for the footage, music, recordings, and other material, including permission to translate and adapt it. You must have permission to submit the personal data and performances of the people featured. Supplying a video does not itself authorize cloning any speaker's voice. Do not submit children's voices in this alpha.

Subject to third-party rights and applicable law, we do not claim ownership in your delivered dubbed output. We do not promise that AI-generated material is eligible for exclusive copyright protection or free from all third-party claims.

5. Voice cloning and training are separate

Account acceptance and upload permission do not authorize voice cloning. A future cloning feature requires separate speaker-specific informed permission, identity and live-speaker verification, a stated retention period, and a withdrawal route. No celebrity, public-figure, or unauthorized third-party voice cloning is allowed.

Porus AI does not use customer videos, voice recordings, or outputs to train its models in the current alpha. Optional training consent is not currently offered. If introduced, it must be separate, off by default, and unnecessary to obtain the dubbing service. Refusing training permission must not prevent ordinary service.

6. Review and AI disclosure

You must review each output for mistranslation, pronunciation, timing, attribution, and unintended meaning before use. Obtain any approvals needed from speakers and rights holders. Do not use an unreviewed output for a consequential decision. Disclose AI-generated or materially AI-altered speech when publishing. Keep any AI disclosure, provenance information, or watermark supplied with an output. Porus does not currently represent that watermarking is implemented.

7. Acceptable use and complaints

Follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may pause a job or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect others, or meet legal duties. We may request rights evidence or additional identity checks proportionate to a job's risk; no KYC service is currently implemented. Report impersonation, copyright concerns, or privacy issues to legal@porus.ai with the job reference and supporting details. We will assess the report and take appropriate action.

8. Privacy, retention, and withdrawal

The Privacy Policy describes account data, uploaded media, human operator access, service providers, retention arrangements, and your choices. Media deletion is currently handled manually; the policy explains the service-copy targets and preservation exceptions without promising automated expiry. Contact legal@porus.ai to request cancellation, access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of a particular permission. Withdrawal may prevent completion of a pending job. It does not reverse processing already lawfully completed.

9. Responsibilities and limits

You are responsible for your uploads, permissions, and publication decisions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to reimburse reasonable third-party claims and costs arising from your infringement of others' rights or intentional misuse of the service, subject to notice and a reasonable opportunity to participate in the defence. This does not cover loss caused by Porus AI's own unlawful conduct, negligence, or breach.

The service is an experimental alpha. To the extent permitted by law, no guarantee of uninterrupted operation, exact translation, emotional fidelity, or suitability for a particular purpose is made. To the extent permitted by law, liability for the affected job is limited to the fees you paid for that job. Non-excludable rights and liabilities remain unaffected by this limitation.

10. Changes and governing terms

Material changes will be explained and fresh acceptance requested where required; continued use will not be treated as a substitute for new purpose-specific consent. These Terms are governed by Indian law, subject to mandatory rights in a user's jurisdiction. Disputes may be brought before the courts with lawful jurisdiction. Send questions or notices to legal@porus.ai.
